My name is Shannon, I am the owner and one of the teachers at Wonder Garden Neighborhood Preschool. I have been teaching children for over 20 years. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from Lane Community College. After a few years of teaching in the community, I taught for 13 years at LCC's lab preschool, Lane Child & Family Center, where I supported college learners, preschoolers, and their families. Before starting Wonder Garden Neighborhood Preschool, I spent 3 years helping to start a local nature preschool.
I am passionate about sharing nature with children, sharing their joy as they learn something new, and collaborating with families. Families know their children best and when teachers and families work together, children blossom! I am dedicated to providing a safe and engaging environment where children will learn and thrive.
When not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside, camping, riding bikes, and cooking. One of my favorite things is working in the garden, you may see me when you drive by!

My name is Mia (they/them) and I am so excited to be a part of the Wonder Garden team!
I have been teaching for about 4 years now. I have my degree in Early Childhood Education from Lane Community College.
I have found working with children in a nature based setting really helps them explore their immediate world around them. As a nature lover myself, I find it so rewarding exploring and teaching children about our world. I especially love discussing and observing bugs, critters and plants. I also love to challenge children in exploring with movement. It helps them find their limits and even work through fears they may have.
Outside of teaching, I love to roller skate, sew and hike. You can often find me at the skate park or rolling around town! Don’t be afraid to say hello if you see me zooming by!
